Wenatchee, WA – Washington State Patrol activated a Silver Alert Saturday for a 63 year old woman reported missing in Wenatchee, with authorities saying her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety.
According to Washington State Patrol, the alert was activated on behalf of the Wenatchee Police Department for Cheryl Mittelsteiner, who was last contacted around 11 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of South Mission Street.
Authorities believe Mittelsteiner may be traveling on foot and likely has her walker. Her direction of travel is unknown.
The Silver Alert describes Mittelsteiner as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and approximately 88 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. Authorities did not have a description of the clothing she may currently be wearing.
Washington State Patrol said the alert was issued because the investigating agency determined the circumstances surrounding her disappearance present a credible threat to her health and safety.
Officials are asking members of the public to remain alert for Mittelsteiner across the Wenatchee area and surrounding Chelan County communities.
Anyone who believes they have located Mittelsteiner should call 911 rather than attempting to report the sighting through the Washington State Patrol social media post. State Patrol specifically noted that its post is not monitored for sightings.
The case remains active as authorities work to locate Mittelsteiner and determine where she may have traveled since she was last contacted Friday.
Anyone with an immediate sighting or information about her current location should contact 911.
