Spokane Valley, WA – A late night disturbance at a Spokane Valley drive thru led deputies to discover three men apparently passed out inside a vehicle, resulting in two arrests and the seizure of a stolen handgun, suspected illegal drugs and more than 290 pills.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff 's Office, deputies responded around 11:10 p.m. Saturday, October 24, to the 1500 block of North Division Road after receiving a report involving an unruly driver who allegedly refused to leave the property.
Deputies found a vehicle parked diagonally across several spaces with its driver's door open. All three occupants appeared unconscious, and a deputy noticed what appeared to be a handgun near a rear passenger.
Deputies Discover Suspected Drugs and Stolen Firearm
After repeated announcements, deputies detained the driver, identified as 31 year old Trey M. Ivy, and two passengers.
Investigators determined the initially observed weapon was a realistic looking BB gun. However, deputies allegedly discovered a loaded pistol magazine and drug paraphernalia during the investigation.
Following a search warrant, deputies reported seizing a Smith & Wesson handgun stolen from Kootenai County in September, approximately 26.1 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, suspected MDMA, LSD, drug scales and more than 290 suspected alprazolam pills, commonly known as Xanax.
Two Arrested, Later Released by Court
Ivy was arrested on suspicion of being in physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence. Deputies reported breath test readings exceeding Washington's legal alcohol limit for driving.
Passenger Dylan M. Ross, 21, was arrested on allegations involving possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful firearm carry.
Both men were booked into Spokane County Jail before judges ordered their release on their own recognizance Sunday.
The third occupant was released without charges.
The allegations remain subject to court proceedings, and neither arrest establishes guilt.
