A University of Washington study finds emissions from the 178 largest oil, gas, coal and cement producers will continue warming Earth and raising the risk of extreme weather for decades. Using climate simulations through 2500, researchers show the impact remains even if emissions sharply decline, offering new evidence for debates over corporate accountability and climate related damages.
