Everett, WA – Authorities have confirmed the arrest of a 46 year old male suspect in connection with a shooting that left one man injured late last week. On Friday, September 4, 2026, at approximately 10:25 p.m., deputies from the South County Sheriff ’s Office responded to the 13000 block of 8th Ave W following reports of a domestic violence assault involving gunfire.
According to the Sheriff& 39;s Office, responding deputies arrived to find a 27 year old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was immediately transported to Harborview Medical Center for emergency medical treatment. Investigators determined that the victim and the suspect were acquainted, which allowed deputies to quickly identify the individual allegedly responsible for the shooting.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot immediately following the incident, prompting an extensive search operation that included K9 units and assistance from nearby law enforcement agencies. While the initial containment search did not result in an immediate apprehension, patrol deputies continued their investigation and successfully developed probable cause for a charge of Assault 1 DV. The suspect was later located within Everett and taken into custody.
The man has since been booked into the Snohomish County Jail. While the arrest marks a significant step in the case, officials stated that the investigation into the circumstances of the shooting remains active. Further details regarding the status of the victim or the legal proceedings are expected to be released as the case moves through the court system.
