Virginia State Police report successful crime suppression efforts, seizing eight firearms, large amounts of narcotics, and currency during a week long operation

Richmond, VA – Virginia State Police have released a summary of their recent criminal interdiction efforts aimed at curbing illegal activity across the region. The report highlights significant seizures made during operations conducted from August 26, 2026, to September 1, 2026.
According to the Virginia State Police, the week long initiative resulted in the removal of eight firearms from the streets. Additionally, officers seized $198,304 in currency and a variety of narcotics, including 2.3 pounds of cocaine, 49.2 pounds of marijuana, and 3.0 ounces of methamphetamine.
