Willis, TX – A 15 year old male student was taken into custody Monday morning after school officials and law enforcement discovered a loaded firearm in his backpack at Willis High School . The incident triggered an immediate response from the Montgomery County Sheriff 's Office MCSO after an anonymous report alerted authorities to the potential presence of a weapon on school grounds.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff ’s Office, School Resource Officers quickly located and detained the student following the tip. A subsequent investigation of the student's belongings resulted in the recovery of a loaded firearm.
