San Antonio, TX – October warmth will continue across the San Antonio area through Saturday, October 24, with afternoon temperatures remaining in the mid 80s before a modest cooldown arrives Sunday. Residents across Bexar County and the surrounding South Central Texas region can expect several more days of sunshine, mild evenings and favorable conditions for outdoor activities.
According to the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio office, temperatures near downtown San Antonio are forecast to reach 84 degrees Wednesday, climb to 85 degrees Thursday and remain near 84 degrees Friday and Saturday. The extended forecast indicates that mostly sunny skies will dominate through the first half of the weekend, with limited precipitation concerns.
The persistent warmth comes as much of the central United States experiences a broader pattern favoring above average temperatures heading into the weekend.
Although a significant storm system is affecting portions of the western United States, the immediate San Antonio forecast remains largely dry.
