SAN ANTONIO — November will open unusually warm across South Texas, with San Antonio climbing into the mid 80s Monday before showers and possible thunderstorms move through Tuesday and knock temperatures back into the upper 70s.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high near 82 Sunday, Nov. 1. Sunday night stays very mild near 69 before temperatures rise even further Monday.
86° Warmth Peaks Monday Monday, Nov. 2, becomes the hottest day in the current forecast.
Patchy fog is possible before 8 a.m., followed by partly sunny skies and a high near 86 degrees . South winds of 5–10 mph could gust as high as 20 mph.
Monday night remains warm near 70, but the pattern begins changing. The Weather Service lists a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight , setting up a wetter Tuesday.
That gives San Antonio a clear early November heat sequence: 82 Sunday, 86 Monday, then storms Tuesday.
Storms Bring Cooler Turn Nov. 3 Tuesday, Nov. 3, carries the highest rain chance of the week.
Showers become likely with a possible thunderstorm before noon, with precipitation chances reaching 70% . Temperatures remain warm near 80, but winds turn north during the afternoon as cooler air begins arriving.
Tuesday night drops sharply to around 56.
Wednesday turns sunny with a high near 77, followed by another cool night near 56. Thursday reaches around 79 before highs settle near 77 Friday and 74 Saturday.
A small shower chance returns Friday night and Saturday, but the first major transition comes with Tuesday’s storm system.
Warm, Wetter Pattern Favored Nov. 8–14 The cooler midweek stretch does not necessarily signal sustained cold.
NOAA’s broader Texas guidance favors above normal temperatures during Nov. 8–14 , while above normal precipitation is also favored across substantial portions of the state.
That means the broader second week setup may turn warmer and wetter again even after San Antonio’s cooler Nov. 3–7 stretch.
The outlook does not mean rain every day or a return to 86 degree highs. CPC guidance describes average temperatures and total precipitation across the seven day period rather than exact daily forecasts.
For San Antonio, the immediate sequence is straightforward: 86° Monday, showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, then upper 70s through much of Nov. 4–7.
As Thanksgiving and holiday travel season approach, the larger question will be whether South Texas warmth and a wetter pattern persist deeper into November.
