New Caney, Texas – A series of shootings across three cities has concluded following the death of a suspect identified by authorities. The investigation into these violent incidents has dominated recent law enforcement efforts in the region.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff 's Office, the suspect, Pedro Gonzales, allegedly shot victims in New Caney, Houston, and Pasadena. The spree triggered a broad multi jurisdictional law enforcement response to identify and track the individual.
On April 9, 2026, the Montgomery County Sheriff 's Office confirmed that Gonzales was found deceased in Houston. Officials determined that the suspect died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
