HOUSTON, TX – Sunshine and temperatures near 90 degrees will give way to possible afternoon thunderstorms across Houston on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 13 14, potentially disrupting commutes, outdoor work and afternoon activities.
According to the National Weather Service, both days carry a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms developing after 1 p.m., bringing the week's most notable unsettled weather.
Tuesday, Oct. 13, temperatures will climb to approximately 91 degrees under mostly sunny skies before thunderstorms become possible during the afternoon.
Wednesday, Oct. 14, follows a similar pattern, with a high near 90 degrees and another 40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Drivers traveling across Houston and Harris County should remain alert for changing road conditions if thunderstorms develop. Brief periods of rain could reduce visibility and create slippery pavement.
The forecast does not specify rainfall totals or indicate that severe thunderstorms are expected.

Friday remains sunny, with temperatures reaching approximately 87 degrees before overnight lows fall near 70.
Saturday, Oct. 17, turns slightly cooler, with a high near 81 degrees and a 20% chance of showers.
