According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, rain chances will increase across North and Central Texas late Thursday into next weekend, while temperatures remain above normal for much of the upcoming week.

Meanwhile, isolated showers could develop Tuesday, Oct. 27, across the Big Country region of West Texas, ahead of the broader late week rain pattern.
Halloween Weekend: Will Rain Affect Trick or Treating?
The timing could become important for families planning outdoor Halloween celebrations Saturday, Oct. 31.
Although Friday's forecast indicates increasing rain chances, the National Weather Service has not provided a specific Halloween night precipitation percentage in the published graphic.
