CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — November will begin unusually warm across Corpus Christi before a round of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, Nov. 3, helps knock daytime temperatures from the mid 80s back into the upper 70s.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for patchy fog early Sunday, Nov. 1, followed by mostly sunny skies and a high near 82. Monday turns partly sunny and even warmer, reaching around 84 degrees , with southeast winds occasionally gusting near 20 mph.
84° Warmth Holds Through Tuesday Monday night remains very mild, with temperatures only falling to around 75 and southeast winds continuing at 10 to 16 mph.
Tuesday reaches another high near 84 , but the weather becomes considerably more unsettled. Showers become likely with thunderstorms possible during the afternoon, and the Weather Service places precipitation chances at 70% . Winds also shift from the south to the north as the system moves through.
Rain chances continue Tuesday night at around 30%, with showers and thunderstorms possible early before conditions begin improving. Temperatures fall to around 65.
Upper 70s Follow the Storms Wednesday marks a noticeable change.
Sunshine returns, but the high reaches only around 77 — roughly seven degrees cooler than Tuesday. Wednesday night falls to around 66 before another sunny day Thursday with a high near 79.
Friday remains mostly sunny near 78. A 20% shower chance develops Friday night, followed by a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday, Nov. 7 , when the high is forecast near 76.
That gives Corpus Christi a clear first week progression: 82 Sunday, 84 Monday and Tuesday, storms Tuesday, then highs mainly in the upper 70s Wednesday through Saturday.
Warm, Wetter Signal Nov. 8–14 The broader Texas outlook becomes more interesting after the local seven day forecast ends.
NOAA's Nov. 8–14 guidance favors above normal temperatures and above normal precipitation across substantial portions of Texas , even though the November monthly temperature signal is less decisive than it is farther north.
That does not mean Corpus Christi will see rain every day or return to 84 degree highs throughout Nov. 8–14. The outlook describes average temperature and total precipitation tendencies across the seven day period, not specific daily forecasts.
For Corpus Christi, the immediate weather change remains the more useful story: mid 80s warmth through Tuesday, storms Nov. 3, then a cooler upper 70s stretch through the remainder of the first week of November.
As Thanksgiving and holiday travel season move closer, the warmer and wetter second week tendency will be the next pattern to watch.
