Amarillo, Texas – A serious weather threat moves into the Panhandle today, with scattered to widespread thunderstorms developing after 3 p.m. and persisting through 11 p.m. Residents should be prepared for potential 60 mph wind gusts, penny sized hail, and heavy rainfall that could trigger flash flooding in urban areas and low lying spots like Palo Duro Canyon.
