Nashville, Tennessee – Middle Tennessee finally gets a break from 90 degree heat Tuesday, with cooler days ahead and most areas staying dry.
According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, temperatures will trend downward through Thursday. A few storms could linger each day across the Cumberland Plateau, while most of Middle Tennessee remains dry over the next several days.
Tuesday highs range from 80 to 89 degrees, with precipitation chances varying from 0% to 50% across the region. Overnight lows fall into the 61 to 66 degree range.
Wednesday turns cooler, with highs from 77 to 86 and lows from 59 to 63. Rain chances again range from 0% to 50%, reflecting the continued potential for storms in parts of the region.
The coolest daytime temperatures arrive Thursday. Highs range from 74 to 85 degrees, while morning lows fall as low as 56. Rain chances range from 0% to 60%.
Friday remains comfortable, with highs from 74 to 85 and precipitation chances no higher than 20%. Overnight temperatures then fall into the upper 40s and 50s.
The weekend looks dry across Middle Tennessee. Saturday and Sunday both have no rain indicated, with highs from 75 to 85 degrees. Saturday morning lows range from 47 to 57, followed by 48 to 58 Sunday morning.
Residents on the Cumberland Plateau should continue monitoring conditions for isolated storms through Thursday. Elsewhere, the main change will be falling temperatures, followed by a dry weekend with highs staying in the 70s and 80s.
