Kingsport, TN – The Sullivan County Sheriff 's Office has issued a warrant for 29 year old Lucas "Lulu" Peterson in connection to a shooting that occurred earlier this week. Peterson is facing charges of attempted second degree murder and aggravated assault.
The investigation began on Monday evening, September 14, 2026, when a male victim arrived at Holston Valley Medical Center with serious gunshot wounds. After initial coordination with the Kingsport Police, Sullivan County deputies identified the 2800 block of Pennsylvania Road as the scene of the incident following a search conducted on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
Law enforcement officials have cautioned the public that Peterson should be considered armed and dangerous. Detectives have actively pursued leads on his whereabouts since the warrants were issued following the discovery of forensic evidence at the scene.
