Sioux Falls, SD – Another warm and breezy day is expected around Sioux Falls and the surrounding region Monday, Oct. 5, with wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph developing from late morning through early evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, Monday's temperatures across its forecast area will range from 71 to 80 degrees. Aside from the gusty winds, quiet weather is expected to persist into late week with minimal chances for precipitation.
Tuesday will be the warmest day in the five day forecast, with highs ranging from 78 to 85 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Temperatures begin trending lower Wednesday. Highs are forecast between 70 and 75 degrees, with partly sunny conditions expected.
A more noticeable cooldown arrives Thursday, when highs are forecast to range from 65 to 70 degrees. Friday remains seasonable, with temperatures reaching 67 to 72 under partly cloudy skies.
The NWS update does not highlight significant rain or severe thunderstorms during the period. The main near term weather concern is Monday's breeze, with gusts reaching up to 35 mph at times before winds ease during the evening.
Residents should expect warm and breezy conditions through Monday afternoon, followed by another warm day Tuesday. Temperatures will then gradually cool during the second half of the workweek while precipitation chances remain minimal.
