According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, no day is expected to be a complete washout. The higher chances for rain are concentrated from Wednesday night into Thursday morning and again from Friday into Saturday.
Tuesday stays cooler, with regional highs of 58 to 63 degrees and lows of 46 to 52. Rain chances are 20% across the area.
Wednesday brings highs of 61 to 68 and lows of 51 to 56. Rain chances increase to 40% in the far west and 50% west of Interstate 29 as the next round approaches.
The wetter period becomes more widespread Thursday. Rain chances reach 70% across southeastern portions of the region, with showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs range from 64 to 74 degrees, while lows settle between 53 and 57.
Friday remains unsettled, with a 50% chance of rain that increases to 70% during the latter part of the day. Temperatures remain mild, with highs of 64 to 70 and lows of 54 to 58.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms is possible Saturday. Rain chances reach 60% in eastern areas, while highs climb to 66 to 76 degrees.
Residents with travel, outdoor work or weekend plans should keep checking conditions because periods of rain could affect activities even though prolonged rainfall is not indicated. The wetter pattern continues through the end of the week, with the next higher rain chance arriving Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
