The same outlook also favors above normal precipitation across much of the state, including the Upstate. However, that longer range outlook does not establish specific rainfall dates or amounts.
For now, the immediate forecast remains dry, with sunshine expected each day through Sunday.
Residents planning outdoor events, weekend recreation or early morning travel should prepare for cooler conditions, particularly Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Although the forecast does not indicate freezing temperatures, the drop into the lower 40s will provide a noticeable reminder that cooler fall weather is settling into the Upstate.
