Columbia, SC – Authorities are urgently asking for the public's help locating a missing 79 year old man who was last seen Saturday, Oct. 24, and is believed to be in danger because of cognitive decline and memory issues.
According to the Richland County Sheriff 's Department, Radcliff Aiken, 79, was last seen around 12:15 p.m. Saturday in the 7000 block of Frost Avenue.
Deputies have classified Aiken as a missing vulnerable adult and are urging anyone who sees him or his vehicle to call 911 immediately.
Aiken is described as a Black man standing approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a green fleece pullover, green pants and beige sneakers.
Missing Man May Be Driving Cadillac SUV
Investigators believe Aiken may be traveling in a dark blue 2015 Cadillac SRX displaying North Carolina license plate TKP6343.
The Sheriff's Department released photographs of both Aiken and the vehicle to help residents recognize him.
Authorities have expressed particular concern for his safety because of reported cognitive decline and memory difficulties, which could place him at increased risk while away from familiar surroundings.
