Charleston, SC – Five tornadoes have now been confirmed across southeastern South Carolina and Georgia following Saturday's severe weather, including one powerful EF 1 tornado that produced estimated winds of 110 mph.
According to the National Weather Service NWS Charleston office, the tornadoes occurred Saturday, October 10, 2026, in association with Post Tropical Cyclone Isaias. The agency released preliminary findings Monday, identifying three EF 1 tornadoes and two EF 0 tornadoes.
The strongest tornado struck western Allendale County, South Carolina, producing estimated maximum winds of 110 mph along a 3.20 mile path.
A second EF 1 tornado touched down in northern Allendale County, reaching estimated winds of 105 mph and traveling approximately 1.75 miles.
Across the state line in southeastern Georgia, another EF 1 tornado was confirmed in eastern Screven County. That tornado produced estimated winds of 105 mph and remained on the ground for approximately 7.49 miles, making it the longest documented track in the preliminary report.
Two additional tornadoes were confirmed in Georgia.
An EF 0 tornado near Captolo produced estimated winds of 80 mph along a 1.45 mile path.
Another EF 0 tornado occurred in eastern Bulloch County, although its maximum wind speed and path length remain under investigation.
Despite the intensity of the storms, the NWS reported no injuries or fatalities associated with any of the five confirmed tornadoes.
The findings demonstrate the significant severe weather impacts that can accompany tropical systems, even after they lose their tropical classification.
Residents across the affected communities may continue seeing additional information as meteorologists finalize their storm assessments.
The Weather Service emphasized that all five tornado reports remain preliminary and are subject to change following final review and publication in official NWS Storm Data records.
