According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, rain chances reach 100% Sunday, with showers expected mainly before 3 p.m. Temperatures should climb near 69 degrees, while easterly winds could gust to 24 mph.
The wet weather could affect Pittsburgh and surrounding Allegheny County communities, particularly along Interstate 376, Interstate 279 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Forecasters expect between three quarters and 1 inch of rainfall Sunday. Drivers should prepare for standing water in poorly drained areas and reduced visibility during heavier showers.
Rain begins overnight, with an 80% chance of showers mainly after midnight. Temperatures remain near 58 degrees, with wind gusts approaching 22 mph.
Sunday night brings improving conditions, although a 40% chance of additional showers remains before midnight. Overnight temperatures should settle near 60 degrees.
