Philadelphia, PA – A Georgia fugitive accused of traveling to Philadelphia to pursue and threaten a domestic violence survivor has been arrested following a coordinated law enforcement operation, Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal announced Wednesday.
According to the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office , N’tyrance Davis was taken into custody without incident after deputies worked alongside Georgia authorities to locate and apprehend him.
Authorities allege Davis traveled from Georgia to Philadelphia with the intention of pursuing and threatening a domestic violence survivor. The Sheriff's Office did not provide additional details about the alleged threats, the relationship between Davis and the survivor, or the specific location of the arrest.
The operation involved the Sheriff's Office Domestic Violence Task Force, Warrant Unit, Canine Unit and Delaware Valley Intelligence Center, along with law enforcement authorities in Georgia.
Sheriff Bilal publicly recognized the personnel involved in the arrest, including Captain O'Leary, Deputy O'Leary, Detective Miller, Detective Jenkins, Deputy Santiago, Lieutenant Morris, Deputy Diletto, Deputy Belton, Deputy Negron and Deputy Siciliano.
"Survivors deserve protection, support, and action," Bilal said in the department's announcement.
The arrest comes during October's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a nationwide observance focused on supporting survivors, raising awareness and encouraging prevention efforts.
The Sheriff's Office emphasized that protecting domestic violence survivors remains a priority throughout the year, not only during the October awareness campaign.
Officials did not specify what charges Davis currently faces, whether extradition proceedings are expected or when he might appear in court.
The department also did not disclose how long Davis had allegedly been in Philadelphia before his arrest.
The arrest highlights coordination between Pennsylvania and Georgia law enforcement agencies in responding to alleged threats involving individuals who cross state lines.
Additional information about the case may become available as authorities release further details.
