How do I know if this is a good investment for my business or organization?
A: Country Herald post content on a daily basis related to the Kankakee/Iroquois/Will area. If your business plan falls in line to those on that GPS, you’re good. We currently do not accept advertising from businesses outside of a 35-mile radius of Bourbonnais, IL.
What are your stats as an organization?
A: Since our launch on May 1st, 2019, Country Herald has averaged roughly 2k visitors per week with 92% coming from the greater Kankakee Metropolitan area. We are still in the process of building our audience and more detailed statistics will come next quarter.
What are your social channel numbers?
A: Country Herald’s primary social network is Facebook/Instagram networks. Since launching in May, we’ve reached nearly 30,000 people directly in the greater Kankakee area with an engagement rate of 11%, which rates above a VERY HIGH ENGAGEMENT RATE according to nvision digital marketing. All of our users are either based or originally from the Central Illinois community.
Where do you deliver?
A: We are not a newspaper. We do not deliver. We are an online-only news entity devoted to serving the Kankakee/Iroquois/Will areas.
Are you in any way associated with former The Herald/Country Market?
A: No. We are a new organization for the area.

Do you publish ads via your Social Networks?
A: No, we do not. However, if you have an event or activity to promote, we do directly engage our visitors with social media mentions and references directed to the official, verified accounts only. Personal accounts will not be endorsed.
I’m with a political organization looking to promote my candidate, do you do political ads?
A: We do not accept politically charged advertising at this time. We also have our Google Ads account set to block politically motivated advertisements.
I saw a political ad on your page, why is that?
A: We honestly don’t know. It was probably a Google ad…so I guess we should talk to Google? That shouldn’t have happened.
I would like to sponsor a section. How does that work?
A: All sponsored sections are handled through contract only at this time. Email shane@countryherald.com for more info.
I have a press release I would like to share from my business. Do I have to pay for that?
A: No. Submit all press releases to News@CountryHerald.com. Submissions do not guarantee your story will run.
I’m a small business owner and would like to submit a product for you to review. Do you accept sample review submissions?
A: We do accept sample submissions for reviewal. Please send to the address above. Reviewal submission samples will not be accepted in person. We do not accept paid reviews.
