Portland, Oregon – Following a cloudy Tuesday with scattered showers in far northern Oregon and southwest Washington, a significant warming trend will begin on Wednesday. Highs across the interior lowlands are set to climb steadily throughout the remainder of the work week.
According to the National Weather Service Portland , the region will transition to dry weather starting Wednesday, with temperatures peaking this weekend. By Saturday and Sunday, Portland and Salem are both expected to reach 80 to 81 degrees, marking temperatures 5 to 15 degrees above the daily normal for this time of year.
Residents can expect much cooler conditions along the coast and in mountain communities, where highs will remain in the upper 60s to low 70s. For the interior valleys, however, the extended period of sunshine will necessitate extra hydration and sun protection during outdoor activities over the weekend.
The current dry pattern is expected to hold firm through the beginning of next week. Monitor updates as the warming trend progresses toward the weekend peak.
