Eugene, OR – A 72 year old Eugene man has been sentenced to prison following a child exploitation investigation that originally resulted in 20 criminal charges, according to the Lane County Sheriff 's Office.
The case, investigated by a specialized task force targeting internet crimes against children, concluded with a guilty plea and a sentence involving incarceration and post prison supervision.
According to the Lane County Sheriff's Office, Andrew Edmund Goble, 72, pleaded guilty Friday, Oct. 30, to three counts of first degree encouraging child sexual abuse.
Goble was sentenced to 16 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections , followed by 34 months of post prison supervision.
The investigation began nearly a year earlier.
On Nov. 20, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., Lane County sheriff's detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Dogwood Drive in Eugene.
The following day, Nov. 21, investigators arrested Goble and booked him into the Lane County Jail.
At the time of his arrest, Goble faced 20 charges, including 10 counts of first degree encouraging child sexual abuse and 10 counts of second degree encouraging child sexual abuse.
The charges stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force , commonly known as ICAC.
The task force investigates offenses involving the exploitation of children, including crimes committed or facilitated through digital technology.
Authorities said the investigation was part of continuing efforts involving local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable members of the community.
The sheriff's office did not provide additional details about the evidence recovered during the search or the circumstances underlying the original charges.
Officials also did not specify the disposition of the remaining counts following Goble's guilty plea.
The sentence marks the resolution of a case that began with a residential search in Eugene in November 2025.
Goble's 16 month prison term will be followed by nearly three years of supervision under the terms announced by authorities.
