According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, precipitation chances remain near zero Wednesday through Friday and stay very low for most of Saturday. The pattern begins changing Saturday night into Sunday as moisture moves into the region.
Rain chances rise to around 50% early Sunday and peak near 80% during the day, according to the NWS regional probability forecast. Chances then begin decreasing Sunday night into Monday.
The wetter pattern will coincide with cooler daytime temperatures. Regional temperatures are projected to peak near 80 degrees Saturday before reaching only around 70 Sunday.
Until then, dry weather dominates. Wednesday's regional high is forecast near 78 degrees, followed by highs around 75 Thursday and Friday. Saturday is expected to be the warmest day in the outlook, with temperatures approaching 80.

By Monday, rain chances decline considerably, falling from around 50% early to approximately 20% and lower later in the period. Temperatures are projected to recover, with a regional high around 74 degrees.
The NWS graphic provides precipitation probabilities rather than expected rainfall amounts, and it does not indicate severe weather or specify potential storm impacts.
