Dayton, OH – Authorities are asking for the public's help Wednesday afternoon in locating an 82 year old Montgomery County man who was reported missing and is believed to be without his medication.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff 's Office, Thomas Gudorf, 82 , was reported missing at approximately 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies said Gudorf had met with family earlier in the morning before he disappeared.
Gudorf was last seen driving through the 2700 block of Lyons Road , according to the sheriff's office. Authorities said he was wearing blue jeans and a teal blue golf shirt at the time.
Deputies said Gudorf drives a 2011 red Ford Ranger bearing Ohio license plate FOM5413 . An image of the truck was released alongside Gudorf's photograph as authorities asked residents and drivers to watch for both him and the vehicle.
The sheriff's office said there is particular concern for Gudorf's safety because he is currently without his medication. Officials did not provide additional details about the medication or disclose any specific medical condition.
The search was active as of the sheriff's office's Wednesday afternoon public appeal. Anyone traveling through Dayton, Montgomery County or surrounding southwest Ohio communities is encouraged to remain alert for the red Ford Ranger.
