CLEVELAND — November will begin remarkably mild along Lake Erie, with Cleveland temperatures climbing into the mid 70s Tuesday before a wetter pattern develops Wednesday night and Thursday.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high near 69 Sunday, Nov. 1, under mostly cloudy skies. Monday remains mild near 68 before temperatures surge to approximately 76 degrees Tuesday, Nov. 3 , under partly sunny skies.
Mid 70s Arrive Tuesday Sunday night remains mild with a low around 54, followed by another relatively warm night Monday around 56.
Tuesday becomes the warmest day in the current forecast, with a high near 76 and south winds around 11 mph. Tuesday night stays unusually mild around 60 before Wednesday reaches approximately 74.
That gives Cleveland a notable opening stretch to November: 69 Sunday, 68 Monday, 76 Tuesday and 74 Wednesday .
For a Great Lakes city moving deeper into fall, the warmth keeps any sustained taste of winter out of the immediate forecast.
Rain Returns Nov. 4–6 The pattern begins changing Wednesday afternoon.
The Weather Service lists a 40% chance of rain after 1 p.m. Wednesday, followed by rain becoming likely Wednesday night. Precipitation chances increase to 70% , with temperatures falling only to around 58.
Thursday remains wet, with rain likely mainly before 1 p.m. and a 60% precipitation chance . The high drops back to around 68.
Rain chances continue Friday at 50% as the high slips to around 64. By Saturday, Cleveland is forecast to reach only around 59 under mostly cloudy skies.
The late week drop is noticeable, but it does not necessarily mark the beginning of sustained winter weather.
Warm, Drier Pattern Favored Nov. 8–14 NOAA’s broader outlook continues to favor above normal temperatures across the Great Lakes and Midwest during Nov. 8–14 , keeping the first half of November tilted warm.
Precipitation shows a different signal. The Nov. 8–14 outlook favors below normal precipitation across a broad zone extending from the Upper Midwest into the Great Lakes and parts of the Ohio Valley. That supports a warmer but potentially quieter second week pattern after Cleveland’s wetter Nov. 4–6 stretch.
The outlook does not mean every day through Nov. 14 will be warm or dry. Individual cold fronts, chilly nights and rain remain possible. The CPC maps describe average temperature and total precipitation tendencies across the full period.
For Cleveland, the immediate numbers are more concrete: 76° Tuesday, rain increasing Wednesday night and Thursday, then a gradual cooldown toward the upper 50s by Saturday.
As Thanksgiving and holiday travel season approach, the broader question becomes how long the Great Lakes warmth can keep Cleveland’s first sustained taste of winter waiting.
