Cincinnati, OH – Residents across southwest and central Ohio can expect several more days of unusually warm and dry weather beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27, with afternoon temperatures running 10 to 15 degrees above seasonal averages. The extended stretch of mild conditions will continue through much of the workweek before rain chances return Sunday, Nov. 1.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, temperatures across the region will remain well above normal, with daytime highs generally reaching the 70s through Thursday, Oct. 29.
Tuesday, Oct. 27, brings another warm afternoon across southwest Ohio , including Cincinnati, Dayton, Wilmington and surrounding communities.
The National Weather Service notes that typical late October high temperatures across the region are in the lower 60s, making the current forecast considerably warmer than usual.
Afternoon readings are expected to climb into the 70s, with some communities approaching the upper 70s.
Overnight temperatures Tuesday will remain relatively mild, generally falling into the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Wednesday, Oct. 28, continues the above normal temperature pattern.
Highs will again reach the 70s across much of the region, while overnight temperatures remain mainly in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Thursday, Oct. 29, brings similar conditions, with another afternoon of temperatures in the 70s and nighttime readings generally in the 50s.
The prolonged dry weather should provide favorable conditions for outdoor activities, fall yard work and travel across Interstate 71, Interstate 75 and surrounding highways.
However, a change in the weather pattern is expected by Sunday, Nov. 1.
The National Weather Service indicates that rain will eventually return Sunday, potentially ending the extended stretch of dry conditions.
Specific rainfall amounts and precipitation probabilities were not provided in the latest outlook.
Residents planning Halloween weekend activities should monitor updated forecasts as the timing of the approaching rain becomes clearer.
For now, the region can expect several more days of warmer than normal autumn weather before the next opportunity for rainfall arrives.
