Raleigh, NC – A dry cold front will move through Central North Carolina Tuesday, Oct. 6, followed by several days of mostly sunny and dry weather, with regional temperatures climbing as high as the mid 80s Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, dry conditions are expected through at least the first half of the weekend. No precipitation is shown in the agency's five day outlook.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with highs across Central North Carolina ranging from 68 to 77 degrees. Overnight temperatures are forecast to fall into the 40 to 50 degree range.
Temperatures rebound Wednesday as mostly sunny skies continue. Highs are expected to range from 75 to 80 degrees, with nighttime lows between 45 and 55.
Thursday will be the warmest day shown in the outlook. Regional highs are forecast between 80 and 85 degrees, followed by lows ranging from 55 to 60.
Mostly sunny weather continues Friday, with highs between 75 and 82 degrees and overnight lows of 50 to 60.
More clouds begin moving into the region Saturday. Highs are expected to range from 70 to 77 degrees, with lows between 52 and 60.
The temperature ranges apply to the broader Central North Carolina forecast area and do not mean Raleigh itself will necessarily reach the highest value shown each day.
Residents should expect a dry stretch behind Tuesday's cold front, with mostly sunny skies through Friday before cloud cover begins increasing Saturday.
