Milwaukee, WI – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for south-central and southeast Wisconsin until 6 a.m. Sunday, as a powerful winter storm continues to dump heavy snow across the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, snow accumulations are expected to reach 8 to 14 inches, with the heaviest snowfall occurring Saturday afternoon and evening. The warning includes Milwaukee, Waukesha, Dane, Jefferson, Rock, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and Racine counties, among others.
Travel will be very difficult, particularly during the evening hours when snowfall rates peak and visibility drops. Officials caution drivers to avoid unnecessary travel and to use extreme caution on area highways and local roads.
