According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will be sunny with a high near 100°F and heat index values climbing past 104°F. Winds from the south will persist near 10 mph. Residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor tasks, and avoid heat exposure during peak afternoon hours.

While Sunday remains dry, rain chances climb Monday afternoon with a 30% chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m. That threat ramps up Monday night with a 60% chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms. Rainfall could reach one inch in localized areas. Roads like US-87 and US-277 may become slick by Tuesday morning as heavier rainfall continues.

By Tuesday, San Angelo faces a 50% chance of widespread showers and storms with rainfall totals nearing an inch in some spots. The threat continues through Wednesday before tapering off late Thursday. Flash flooding in low-lying or poorly drained areas is possible if rainfall accumulates quickly.
