Toyah, TX – In the last 24 hours, five earthquakes have been recorded near Toyah, Texas. The strongest, measured at a magnitude of 3.8, struck at 7:56 UTC. The first tremor, a magnitude 3.7 quake, occurred at 2:22 UTC, 39 kilometers northwest of Toyah.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), these quakes varied in depth from 6.3 km to 8.4 km. The seismic activity has sparked citizen reports, with the USGS encouraging people to share their experiences through the “Did You Feel It?” platform.

While no significant damage has been reported, residents in nearby areas felt mild shaking. The earthquakes ranged in magnitude from 2.5 to 3.8, all centered near the sparsely populated region northwest of Toyah. This cluster of activity raises questions about ongoing seismic movements in the region.

Authorities will continue to monitor the area for further seismic activity. Residents are advised to report any sensations of tremors to help officials assess the extent of the earthquakes’ impact.
