Sumter, SC – A Sumter County man was taken into custody after deputies allegedly found fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana packaged for sale during a weekend drug raid.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics investigators executed a search warrant on Corn Court Saturday morning, October 31, where they arrested 28-year-old Reginald Maurice Hastie-Sutton of Rolling Creek Drive.

Authorities said the search uncovered roughly 18 grams of fentanyl, 5 grams of methamphetamine, and 30 grams of marijuana. All substances were seized and entered into evidence.

Hastie-Sutton was charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He was booked into the Sumter County Detention Center, where his bond was denied.

Sheriff Anthony Dennis praised the work of his narcotics division and urged residents to remain vigilant.

“There is no upside to using illegal drugs,” Dennis said. “Drug activity often leads to guns and violence, and fentanyl is especially dangerous; it can be 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine.”

The investigation remains active. Anyone with information about this or related narcotics activity is asked to contact the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office or submit anonymous tips through P3Tips.com.
