Shelby County, TN – A 22-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a road-rage shooting that occurred in southeast Shelby County late last month, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the incident happened around 1 p.m. on October 27, 2025, near E. Holmes Road and Riverdale Road. The victim reported that a silver SUV cut in front of their vehicle, forcing them to swerve. The driver of the SUV—identified as a woman with red braids—allegedly exchanged words with the victim before brandishing a firearm and firing one shot.

According to investigators, the bullet struck the passenger-side door of the victim’s vehicle, but no injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, detectives identified Chloe Blackmon as the suspect. On Tuesday, November 4, the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team located Blackmon at a home on the 3100 block of Thomas Avenue in Frayser, where she was taken into custody without incident.

Blackmon is charged with Criminal Attempt Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon.

“Firing a weapon at another person in a vehicle over some sort of dispute is an example of reckless, violent conduct that endangers our communities,” said Chief Deputy Anthony Buckner.
