Schererville, IN – A Chicago woman faces felony charges after an officer was struck during a disturbance at Up Your Alley.

On December 22, police responded to a disruption at the bowling alley on US 41. Employees said a group played loud music on a Bluetooth speaker unsuitable for the family-friendly venue. After management asked them to leave, most complied, but a smaller group stayed and caused further disruption.

According to police, Christina Talore Lloyd, 28, of Chicago, allegedly struck the officer with her vehicle during the confrontation. Paramedics treated the officer on-site for non-life-threatening injuries.

On December 24, Lloyd was charged by the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office with six counts, including battery against a public safety official and resisting law enforcement. Police anticipate additional charges for other individuals involved.

Residents are concerned about increasing incidents disrupting local businesses. Schererville Police urge the public to maintain respectful behavior in shared spaces.
