San Francisco, CA – A spring storm system will bring rain, gusty winds, and possible thunderstorms to the Bay Area starting Wednesday. Residents should prepare for wet roads and hazardous driving conditions, especially during the morning and evening commutes.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will begin late Tuesday night, with heavier showers and gusts up to 30 mph expected throughout Wednesday. Thunderstorms are possible, bringing brief downpours and minor street flooding. Drivers on U.S. Highway 101 and I-280 should allow extra travel time due to slick roads.

Thursday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with lingering morning showers before clearing. However, rain is expected to return Thursday night, with a 60% chance of precipitation continuing into Friday. Temperatures will remain in the upper 50s to low 60s during the day and drop into the upper 40s at night.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday and Sunday will see off-and-on rain, with partly sunny breaks between showers. Highs will reach near 60 degrees, with overnight lows in the mid-40s.

Residents should keep umbrellas handy and stay alert for weather updates. Wet conditions may impact outdoor plans, and travelers should check road conditions before heading out.
