Pittsburgh, PA Traffic delays today on Interstate 376 eastbound after a disabled vehicle caused a lane restriction near the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the incident occurred around 2:06 p.m., roughly one mile east of Exit 72A. Crews are on scene working to clear the vehicle, and officials anticipate the roadway will fully reopen by approximately 4 p.m.

Motorists traveling through the area should expect slower traffic and backups. Drivers are urged to use caution, remain alert for workers on the roadside, and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.

I-376, also known as the Parkway East, is a heavily traveled corridor connecting downtown Pittsburgh with the eastern suburbs. Lane restrictions in this area often cause significant congestion, especially during peak travel times.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the disabled vehicle, and officials have not released details on what caused it to stop. The restriction is expected to remain in place until the vehicle is removed and the lane is reopened.

Drivers heading eastbound toward Monroeville and other eastern destinations may find detouring via Boulevard of the Allies or Penn Avenue to be a viable option. Drivers can check 511PA for updates in case the lane reopens before 4 p.m. PennDOT continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
