Tulsa, OK – A winter weather advisory remains in effect across eastern Oklahoma, with freezing rain, sleet, and snow creating hazardous travel conditions. Roads, including portions of I-44, may be slick, and drivers are urged to use caution through at least 3 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, Tulsa is experiencing freezing rain and sleet, with temperatures hovering around 30°F. Ice accumulation is possible, particularly north of I-44, while snow and sleet could bring additional minor accumulations. Winds are gusting up to 20 mph, increasing the risk of icy road conditions.
Wednesday night will bring partly cloudy skies with lows dropping to 15°F. A 20% chance of snow lingers after 3 a.m. before conditions briefly improve Thursday, which will be sunny but cold, with a high of 31°F.
Looking ahead, another storm system is expected to bring rain and snow to Tulsa on Friday night into Saturday. Temperatures will gradually rise, reaching the low 50s by the weekend, but winter weather risks remain.
