Grant County, IN – An Ohio man died in a crash on I-69 near Grant County on Thursday afternoon. The collision occurred just after 2 p.m. at the 270-mile marker.
According to the Indiana State Police, 81-year-old Noah L. Yoder of Hicksville, OH, was driving a 2021 Ford Explorer when his vehicle was rear-ended by a 2020 Volvo semi. The truck was driven by Gurmanjit Singh, 25, of Greenwood, IN.
Authorities say that for an unknown reason, Singh’s semi collided with Yoder’s vehicle. Life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful. Yoder was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner’s Office. Singh was uninjured.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police do not believe alcohol or narcotics contributed to the crash.
