Atlanta, GA – A Frost Advisory remains in effect for much of north and central Georgia, including the Atlanta metro area, as temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s early Saturday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, the advisory is active from 2 AM to 10 AM EDT Saturday, November 1, covering counties across northwest, northeast, and west-central Georgia—including Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, Hall, Carroll, Bartow, and Athens-Clarke areas.

Forecasters warn that temperatures as low as 35 degrees could lead to widespread frost formation, especially in sheltered valleys and low-lying areas. Sensitive outdoor vegetation may be damaged or killed if left uncovered.

Residents are advised to cover plants, bring potted vegetation indoors, and avoid watering late in the evening to minimize frost impact. Meteorologists note that while some areas may only see patchy frost, others could experience a more widespread coating by sunrise.

Temperatures are expected to rebound quickly after sunrise Saturday, but another cool night could follow Sunday under clear skies.
