Buffalo, NY – More snow is on the way for Buffalo as winter’s grip remains firm Thursday, but a weekend warmup is on the horizon. Residents should prepare for slippery roads and frigid wind chills before temperatures trend upward by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, snow is likely Thursday afternoon, with accumulations of up to an inch possible. Highs will reach just 22°F, while wind gusts of up to 14 mph could make it feel even colder. Snow showers may continue into Thursday night, with lows dipping to around 13°F.

Friday brings a slight chance of flurries, but mostly cloudy skies will dominate as highs reach 22°F. By Saturday, temperatures will begin to rise, peaking at 28°F, with breezy southwest winds ushering in milder air. Sunday looks even warmer, with highs near 33°F.

By Monday and Tuesday, rain and snow showers return, but highs could reach the upper 30s, signaling a brief break from the deep freeze.

Drivers should remain cautious on slick roads Thursday and dress in layers to combat the cold. Stay tuned for further updates as conditions evolve.
