Nevada residents in the Las Vegas area should prepare for gusty winds, possible rain, and much colder temperatures as a weather front moves in on Friday. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts a shift from mild, sunny conditions to colder and wetter weather that may impact travel and outdoor activities. Temperatures are expected to drop, and gusty winds will increase, creating potential hazards for commuters and travelers over the weekend.

According to the NWS, mild conditions will continue through Thursday, with clear skies and daytime highs reaching around 70°F. However, starting Friday, gusty winds, valley rain, and even mountain snow are possible as a new system sweeps into the area. This weather shift could reduce visibility and make driving hazardous, especially on higher elevation roads and highways. Residents and visitors are advised to plan ahead, as road conditions may deteriorate in areas prone to wind and rain.

Friday’s forecast indicates a high of 64°F with partly cloudy skies, followed by a low of around 41°F in the evening. Saturday will see similar conditions, with a high near 59°F and lows remaining chilly. By Sunday, temperatures will drop further, remaining in the low 60s and high 50s into early next week. Cold, breezy afternoons are expected, with conditions likely to persist through at least Tuesday, creating brisk conditions throughout the Las Vegas valley.
