LAS VEGAS —  Clark County School District (CCSD) has published its 2025-2026 winter break schedule.

Students in Las Vegas will begin winter break after the last day of class on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025. Schools will remain closed from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2, and classes will resume on Jan. 5, 2026. Students will also have Jan. 19 off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Feb. 16 off for Presidents’ Day. Spring Break will begin Friday, March 13, 2026.

While the calendar dates have been finalized, start times for the 2026–27 school year are still under review. In September, the CCSD conducted a survey to gauge support for proposed pushed-back start times. Under the proposal, elementary schools would start at 9:30 a.m., middle schools would start at 8:30 a.m., and high schools would start at 7:30 a.m. These changes would not cost the district any additional money.

More than 48,000 parents, staff, students, and community members responded to the proposals, with the majority in favor of the start times. The survey reported that 65% of elementary school students, 75% of middle school students, and 68% of high school students supported the later start. CCSD trustees are set to discuss these changes before finalizing their decision.
