Macon, Georgia – A traffic stop on Arkwright Road led to the arrest of a convicted felon allegedly found with guns and drugs.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Unit Investigator Alex Fletcher assisted the Georgia State Patrol during the stop. Authorities said the driver was arrested on a driving under the influence charge before additional contraband was allegedly discovered inside the vehicle.

Investigators reported finding a Glock 42 handgun, a Palmetto Armory rifle, multiple firearm magazines, a digital scale, marijuana, and ammunition. Officials stated the suspect was out on bond at the time of the arrest.

The male suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for booking. In addition to DUI, authorities said numerous additional charges are pending related to firearm possession and drug offenses.

Officials have not released the suspect’s name as of Tuesday.
