Lubbock, TX – Residents in West Texas can expect a foggy start followed by a warm and sunny finish Monday, marking the warmest day of the week, according to the National Weather Service in Lubbock.

Morning clouds and areas of fog will gradually clear from west to east, giving way to partly sunny skies by late morning. Afternoon highs are forecast to reach the upper 70s to mid-80s, with Lubbock expected to top out around 83°F. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight, with overnight lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Cities including Plainview, Brownfield, Friona, Aspermont, and Childress are all expected to see similar conditions, with calm winds and dry weather persisting through the evening.

Forecasters say this mild, dry pattern will continue through midweek before cooler air and potential rain chances arrive later in the week as a cold front approaches the region.
