Paducah, KY – Above-normal temperatures will persist through the weekend, offering sunny and dry conditions for Western Kentucky. However, a cold front is expected to bring significantly cooler temperatures by early next week. Residents should prepare for the shift, as daytime highs will drop nearly 15 degrees starting Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, temperatures on Friday and Saturday will climb to 86°F, accompanied by clear skies. Sunday will be the warmest, reaching 87°F, before the weather pattern shifts. By Monday, cooler air from the north will drop temperatures to a daytime high of 75°F, continuing to fall into the lower 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Overnight lows are forecast to plummet into the 40s by the middle of next week, making for chilly mornings across the region.

Residents should consider using the mild weekend weather to prepare their homes and vehicles for the cooler conditions ahead. Additionally, travelers along US-60 and I-24 in the Paducah area should remain alert to foggy conditions in the early mornings through Thursday. As the cooler air settles, the fog risk will likely diminish.

The dry stretch of weather is expected to continue through next week, with little rain forecasted in the area. Though conditions remain sunny, the sudden cold front will cause a significant shift in local weather patterns, urging residents to pack away summer clothing and prepare for fall temperatures.
