Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Captures Fugitive Accused of Threatening Judge

Montgomery, IL – A 50-year-old Montgomery man wanted for threatening a judge was arrested Monday without incident.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office reported that Joseph Urso, accused of Threatening a Public Official and Intimidation, was apprehended following collaboration with local law enforcement. These charges stemmed from alleged threats against a 13th Judicial Circuit Judge, prompting a December 17 warrant issued by LaSalle County authorities.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Kendall County Special Response Team and Cooperative Police Assistance Team coordinated efforts for the safe apprehension. Urso was arrested on December 18 in Montgomery and transferred to LaSalle County custody for further legal proceedings.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to report fugitive whereabouts to Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may earn rewards for information leading to arrests.
