Oswego, IL – A brief fight among juveniles broke out Saturday night at PrairieFest in Oswego, drawing a swift response from local police.

According to the Village of Oswego Police Department, officers were called to the carnival area around 8:45 p.m. after a few male juveniles became involved in an altercation. At the time, an estimated 100 juveniles were present in the vicinity of the incident.

Authorities said a 15-year-old male from Yorkville and a 16-year-old male from Plainfield were issued disorderly conduct citations and ordered to leave the festival grounds. Both were also officially trespassed from the event. A third juvenile was removed but not charged. All three were later released to the custody of their parents.
