Kankakee, IL – Suspect Still at Large After Crashing Into Garage Following Police Chase

Kankakee, IL – A suspect remains at large after crashing into a garage following a police chase in Kankakee on Thursday evening.

According to Kankakee City Police, the incident began at approximately 5:18 p.m. when officers attempted to stop a black KIA SUV on E. Hickory Street near S. Indiana Ave. The driver refused to stop and crashed into a parked vehicle on E. Bourbonnais Street. The pursuit continued until the suspect crashed into a garage in the 600 block of S. Indiana Ave. The driver fled the scene on foot, and a firearm was recovered from the vehicle.
